Load index
This index shows maximal load that can one tire bear.
Speed index
This index shows maximal speed that is the tire ready for. A driver should not from the dafety reasons exceed the speed stated on the tire.
DOT marking
This number is stamped on the tire because of the information about the concrete tire. First two numbers mean the calendary week and two other numbers mean the year when the tire was made. It is recommended to use tires till five years of age.
M S marking
Tires for winter season are used to being marked with the symbol "M S" or "M&S". Most often are used tires with maximal speed limit which is lower than maximal speed of the car. In this case the driver should pay the attention that he does dot overpass speed index stated on the tires. All-season tires can have the same marking.
Run-flat tires
Run-flat tires have a special construction that allows to the car to ride despite of a damage on the tire. The driver must keep a speed to 80 kmh and he should not cross the distance of 80 kilometres with the damage. Each producer use different marking for its run-flat tires. Here are the selected markings:

Continental - SSR,CSR
Goodyear - EMT, ROF
Dunlop - DSST, ROF
